Why Donate?

The SPCA Cincinnati is committed to animal welfare by providing care and shelter for animals while serving as the voice for those who can’t speak for themselves. The SPCA Cincinnati provides educational programs and services, promoting bonds between animals and people.

Since 1873, the SPCA Cincinnati has served countless animals. In the past 5 years:

Over 60,000 animals were rescued

6,000 pets reunited with their owners

20,000 cases of animal cruelty have been investigated

Nearly 12,000 animals enter the SPCA Cincinnati shelter on a yearly basis and finds homes for all adoptable pets with a live release rate of 90%. More than 740 animals find comfort at the SPCA Cincinnati on a given day until they find their “furever” homes!

85 cents of every dollar raised goes to the mission – the money raised here, stays here! The SPCA Cincinnati is not affiliated with any national non-profit organization; we are our own 501 (c)(3) non-profit. The SPCA Cincinnati has the highest rating among the nationally accredited Charity Navigator.
